Your baby is beginning to sleep in intervals, yawn, and make faces. Since your baby's hearing is developing, he or she will react to loud and sudden sounds. You might also feel rhythmic jumping if your baby develops the hiccups. Fine hair (called lanugo) is now covering your baby's body along with vernix, a creamy coating that protects your baby's delicate skin from months of submersion in fluid. You are slightly over the halfway mark and your baby will weigh around 1 pound and be roughly 1 foot in length.
Your grace period was short lived and now you might feel the stress of added weight in your legs and spine. The added weight will also cause bowel problems, increased heart rate, and fatigue. Staying hydrated can help relieve constipation while calcium helps you retain bone density and relieve your leg cramps. The best remedy for fatigue is plenty of rest.
