Pregnancy Symptoms: Implantation Bleeding
Implantation bleeding is vaginal bleeding or spotting that can occur anywhere from six to 12 days after conception. This type of bleeding is caused by the fertilized egg embedding itself into the endometrial lining of your uterus. Not all women experience this symptom, but it is important to note nonetheless.
Signs of Implantation Bleeding
Implantation bleeding is usually very light and can last a few hours for some women and a few days for others. Implantation bleeding is very similar to your period and accompanied by cramps, but the length of
implantation bleeding is much shorter. You will notice vaginal discharge that contains small amounts of pinkish or brownish blood. Be sure to wear pads or liners to monitor the amount of bleeding.
If your bleeding is accompanied by pain and unlike your usual menstrual cycle, you should contact your doctor since this may suggest an ectopic pregnancy.
